Pathways Community Living (PCL) is a residential provider for individuals with intellectual disabilities.  

The company is co-owned by Jason Garland Sr. and Andrea Garland. The Garland family collectively took great care to plan and develop PCL to provide the absolute best services to those who reside in their care. 

Pathways Community Living served its first participant in 2013 and has been rapidly growing ever since.  Currently, Pathways Community Living operates nine residential homes and provides services to 16 participants in those homes.  

It is particularly important to PCL to continue to work towards building a caring community while allowing for community integration in every possible way. Pathways Community Living strives to assist each of our participants to live an Everyday Life as described by the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).

ODP originally released the Everyday Lives Principles in 1991 after several years of talking with people with intellectual disabilities, their families, service providers and state leaders about what and Everyday Life “should” look like for people with Intellectual Disabilities.

From the information gathered, ODP developed the Everyday Lives Principles which has been a guide to assist with what services people with intellectual disabilities would like to receive based on what is important to the person and their family while remembering that it is their right to live an everyday life – which is the same as any other citizen with or without an intellectual disability (Everyday Lives, Values in Action, Office of Developmental Programs, 2016).
